New Delhi: Activist Sonam Wangchuk called for a "peaceful revolution" to bring changes in the way leaders are chosen, urging Prime Minister Narendra Modi to work towards a "decriminalised Parliament" and seeking public suggestions for people he can consult on reforms.
In a post on X on Friday, Wangchuk said, "Can we seek this gift from PM on this Independence Day..! A Decriminalised Parliament, as promised by the Prime Minister in 2014. And I'm sure the LOP Sh. Rahul Gandhi and all parties will readily agree for this revolutionary step to clean up our democracy."
