Just as he taught us in 2023, Adam Thielen is not to be counted out.
Bleacher Report’s Gary Davenport recently named every NFL team’s biggest fantasy football value for the 2024 campaign. He lists Thielen for the Carolina Panthers, whose new offense may still feature the 11th-year veteran:
All Thielen did in 2023 was top 100 receptions for the second time, post the third 1,000-yard season of his career and finish among the top 20 fantasy wideouts. Yes, the team added veteran Diontae Johnson and rookie Xavier Legette in the offseason, but the presumption that Thielen’s role in the offense is going to evaporate completely doesn’t make a ton of sense.
That third 1,000-yard season was Thielen’s first since 2018, when he was selected to his second Pro Bowl. The 33-year-old notched 103 receptions, 1,014 yards and four touchdowns off 137 targets—which were tied for the 14th-most in the league.
Thielen, per Fantasy Pros, currently holds an average draft position of 71st amongst all wideouts.
