A new study has confirmed a link between Novo Nordisk's Ozempic and an increased risk of a rare form of vision loss known as NAION, particularly among diabetes patients. Even more disturbing is the fact that the eye condition is irreversible, untreatable and potentially blinding, which necessitates the need to keep patients on drug informed about the possible risk.
The research, which supports earlier findings from Harvard University says that people on Ozempic are more than twice as likely to develop this potentially blinding condition compared to those using other diabetes medications.
