A man can be heard verbally abusing and wrestling police officers at a popular family camping spot. Andrew Wayne Jones of Bala Road, Wrexham, is seen resisting arrest on police bodycam footage, which was shown during a sentencing hearing at Caernarfon Crown Court.
In the video, the 33-year-old calls police officers "12-year-olds" and "b******" as they wrestle him to the ground. Jones was initially arrested on suspicion of assault at a Shell Island campsite in July this year, but no charges were brought against him. However, he was later charged with resisting arrest after wrestling officers who were attempting to detain him. As a result of the altercation, one officer sustained suspected broken ribs .
North Wales Live reports that the video played at Caernarfon Crown Court on Wednesday, October 26, shows Jones exiting the tent at Shell Island campsite at around 4.30am on July 18. The footage shows officers telling Jones that he is being arrested on suspicion of assault as Jones walks away from officers, shouting: ""F*** off, f*** off, f*** you, f*** you, you ain't arresting me you little d*******."
