Dramatic pictures have shown the moment a camper van burst into flames on a busy Scots Road .
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) rushed to the scene on the A713 in Ayr at around 7.36pm on Monday, February 21.
They dispatched two appliances to the location as firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze, close to Mosshill Industrial Estate.
The camper van is understood to have been a VW transporter and there were no casualties reported as a result of the incident.
An SFRS spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 7.36pm on Monday, February 21 to reports of a van on fire near to Mosshill Industrial Estate, Ayr.
“Operations Control mobilised two fire appliances and firefighters extinguished a fire affecting a camper van.
“There were no reported casualties and crews left after ensuring the area was made safe.”
Police Scotland said that they did not attend the incident.
