Camilla's special Coronation plan for grandkids after Archie and Lilibet 'snub'

The grandchildren of the Queen Consort Camilla are set to attend the coronation of their step-grandfather with a special role reportedly reserved for them.

News comes amid claims that Archie and Lillibet, Harry and Meghan's children, will not be in attendance at the event to be beamed to millions of homes around the world.

But Camilla's grandkids, son Tom Parker Bowles' two children, 15 and 13 along with her daughter Laura Lopes' 13-year-old-twins, may have a special role in the coronation.

According to The Mirror, Camilla is hopeful that her beloved grandchildren will carry the canopy that is placed over her as she is anointed.

An invite has been send to The Duke and Duchess of Sussex and they are expected at Westminster Abbey on May 6. Unfortunately, the palace officials consider their children - Archie, three, and one-year-old Lilibet - too young to attend the ceremony.

The Prince and Princess of Wales are still “pondering” whether to take their youngest son Prince Louis, who turns five next month.

A Buckingham Palace source told The Sunday Times that it would be 'wholly improper' for discussions over roles for the Queen Consort's grandchildren but not her husband's.

When asked if Archie and Lilibet were invited, one royal source simply noted that they were "very young".

Although it is uncertain if Louis' will attend, Prince George, nine, and Princess Charlotte, who turns eight just days before the coronation, are expected to be at the ceremony crowning King Charles III.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are yet to confirm if they'll attend the event and are understood to be weighing up the logistics.

But if they do attend, it has been claimed that the Sussexes will not be invited to take part in the official balcony appearance.

A friend of the family told Mail Online: "They will be given the cold shoulder by very many relatives. One said to me, 'I hope they'll be seated in Iceland'.

"Many of the family just want nothing more to do with them. If they have to see them at the Coronation then so be it, but they do not want to socialise with them."
