The Queen's coffin has been lying in state at St Giles Cathedral following a vigil for Her Majesty on Monday evening. King Charles III, Prince Andrew, Princess Anne and Prince Edward all stood guard around their mother's coffin and were joined for the emotional event by Camilla, Queen Consort and Sophie, the Countess of Wessex who sat opposite them.
Camilla could be seen paying poignant tribute to Queen Elizabeth II during the vigil in Edinburgh, through her choice of accessories for the occasion. She opted to wear a diamond thistle brooch affixed to her black coatdress as she joined other members of the royal family at the cathedral, where members of the public also gathered to view Queen Elizabeth's coffin. The glittering brooch had previously been gifted to her by her late mother-in-law.

As previously reported by Hello! the brooch originally belonged to the late Queen Mother, who would often fasten it to her hat ahead of formal visits.
After her death in 2002, the accessory was inherited by the Queen who then went on to present it to her daughter-in-law Camilla in turn.
Although it's unclear exactly when she was given the jewel, the then Duchess of Cornwall first debuted it back in 2015. In the years since, it hasn't been seen all that often, making its significant appearance at the vigil all the more notable.
It's understood Camilla, 75, wore the same formal coatdress to the funeral of the Queen's late husband Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh back in April 2021. She also wore the three-stranded pearl necklace she has worn on various occasions.
Camilla could be seen looking on as her husband King Charles III took part in the first of several Vigil of the Princes at the cathedral, standing guard at his mother's coffin for approximately ten minutes alongside his three siblings, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew, and Prince Edward.
Princess Anne's husband Sir Timothy Laurence and Prince Edward's wife, Sophie, Countess of Wessex, were also in attendance at the vigil, while thousands of people queued for miles to view Her Majesty's coffin lying in state.
During his first address to the nation as monarch, King Charles III stated that he would "count on the loving help" of his "darling wife, Camilla" as he begins his reign.
He continued: "In recognition of her own loyal public service since our marriage 17 years ago, she becomes my Queen Consort. I know she will bring to the demands of her new role the steadfast devotion to duty on which I have come to rely so much."
