Cameron Carter-Vickers says Maik Nawrocki played well for Celtic against Rangers on Sunday despite a 3-2 defeat.
The central defender was thrust in for his first league start of the season amid injuries to Auston Trusty and Liam Scales.
Nawrocki, who signed for Celtic in the summer of 2023 from Legia Warszawa for £4.3m, coped amicably at the heart of the backline in the eyes of Carter-Vickers.
He said: "I think Maik [Nawrocki] done well. I thought he had a good game, he was solid enough, won most of his duels.

"Like I said, second half, I don't think they [Rangers] created much.
"I think they had the counterattack from our corner, I think Luke McCowan got the block on that, and obviously the goal at the end, apart from that, second half, I don't think they had much."
With the fitness of Scales and Trusty still very much up in the air, it remains to be seen whether Nawrocki will keep his place in the Celtic lineup post-international break when Heart of Midlothian visit Parkhead.
The 24-year-old has only made three appearances for his side this campaign, although manager Brendan Rodgers was pleased with his display on Sunday: "I thought he done really well,” he said.
"I said that to him afterwards in the changing room. There weren’t too many highlights for us. But certainly for him, for a guy that’s not played virtually for a year, it shows you how well he’s trained and how professional he’s been.
"So I thought he done really, really well to last the game."
