Cameron Carter-Vickers is the best defender in the league says Ange Postecoglou and he's happy to argue with anyone who disputes that claim.
The USA international has been Mr Reliable for Celtic this season with stunning performances and feat of strengths as the Hoops remain unbeaten since September. They continue to hold a nine-point advantage over rivals Rangers and Carter-Vickers, alongside evermore-reliant Carl Starfelt, have played a huge role at key moments under Postecoglou.
The 25-year-old helped Postecoglou's men reach the Scottish Cup semi-final with a second consecutive win over Hearts in the space of a week as the defender rose highest to score a headed goal in a 3-0 win in the capital. And Postecoglou rejected the idea the centre-half has gone 'under the radar' and admits his status as the best in class is relatively undisputed.

He told Viaplay Sports: "I don't know about that. I would say he's probably the best defender in the league.
"If anyone disputes that, I'm happy to put up an argument. I don't think he goes under the radar at all. He's been outstanding for us in the last few months.
"He's a guy that constantly works hard on his game to improve and great for him to get a goal today because defenders love that kind of thing. It's what he does for us at the other end that's really important."
