It’s always hilarious when NBA players complain about calls. The faces of exasperation are just priceless. Sometimes they have a point! Sometimes there are times when a call is wrong or just missed completely.
But there are also times where a foul is totally caught in 4k and there’s not really anything anyone can say about it.
We got one of those times in the 2nd quarter of Game 6 of the NBA Finals. Andrew Wiggins was guarding Jayson Tatum tightly with the ball and he just happened to reach in.
Now, you could argue there was a foul to be called on the reach. But he didn’t really impede Tatum’s path, so there was no call made. Where the call came, though, was when Tatum completely hooked Wiggins’ arm and decided he was going to bring him on a trip to the rim with him.
Wiggins — with his arm locked up underneath Tatum— just stared at the official begging for a call so he could keep his arm. It was hilarious.

He’s out here just like “please, sir. My arm. May I have it back?”
Tatum is like nah let’s go to this rack, buddy. Luckily for Wiggins, the call was made and his arm was relinquished. But, whew. He almost lost it there.
