Cambuslang Harriers picked up a host of medals in recent weeks, as athletes have been busy competing in various distance events.
The club won an individual gold, three individual bronze medals and two team golds at the Scottish National Trail Race at Falkland Estate in Fife.
Sam McCarthy took first place, and with strong support from bronze medallist Finlay Robb and seventh-placed Chris Black, the under-17 trio were convincing winners.
Cameron Taylor was the fourth Cambuslang athlete to finish.
The senior women also won team gold, thanks to the collective efforts of Kirsty O’Brien, Nathalie Brohan, Paula McCabe and Rachel Wardrope.
In fifth spot, Kieran Cooper led a trio of masters athletes, namely M40s Justin Carter, George Pettit and M50 Chris Upson to fifth team.
They were followed home by Richard Cooper, M60 Stan MacKenzie, Mick O’Hagan, Des Dickson, Dan O’Connell and Mark Williamson.
Upson and MacKenzie were awarded bronze medals in their respective age groups.
An under-15 trio of Lewis Cook, Daidhidh Kinnaird and Euan Reid went close to securing team bronze.
There were non-championship development races for several under-11 and-13 runners, with Brooke Walker finishing third in her age group.
The Scottish Masters held their trial at Tollcross Park to select their team for the British and Irish Masters Cross Country International, which was held in Dublin last weekend.
The first three finishers in the four age bands between 35 and 54, and the first two in the different age groups over-55 were automatically selected, with remaining places filled by selectors, according to recent form in other races.
Five Harriers achieved automatic selection: M65 Paul Thompson, M55 Chris Upson and M35 Stuart Gibson, M45 Justin Carter and M60 Des Dickson, with M60 Colin Feechan, who finished third, on the list for a discretionary place.
M60 Colin Donnelly, a former Scottish, UK, European and World mountain running champion, won silver in his age group at the World Mountain Running Championship, where he led the M60 GB team to gold.
Red and white vests popped up at various road races in Scotland and England, with the biggest representation being at the Stirling 10k.
Third-placed Fraser Stewart set a road personal best of 29.59, with Mike Christoforou sixth, 29 seconds later.
M40 Gordon Robertson was second in his age group in 32 minutes.
The stand-out Harriers performance was by first-year U20 Millie Nicholl, who finished a very close runner-up, taking a massive 61 seconds off her pb in 34.47.
That put Nicholl to the top of the Scottish rankings and third in the UK.
Steven Fitzpatrick crossed five seconds behind her, also setting a new personal best.
M40 George Pettit, second M50 Mark Gallacher, Euan Duernberger and M50 Chris Upson finished within two minutes of each other.
Ian McNair, M40, was ahead of second W60 Erica Christie, with Rachel Wardrope next to finish.
Cameron Smith won bronze and set a new pb of 30.47 in the Midlands Championship.
Closer to home, Shaun Butler breasted the tape and Tom Adams was seventh in the Bothwell 10 and 5K races.
They were followed home by the M50 trio of John Henderson, Alan Anderson and Chris Paton, M70 Peter Ogden and the W40 pair of Anne-Marie Masterton and Suz Ross.
In the Kyles 10-miles race, Cambuslang athletes provided both the female and male winners, thanks to Lesley Blackwood and Stuart McGeachy.
Paula McCabe set a pb in the Great North Run.
M40 Scott Hunter completed three races in the space of five days in the Tour of North Clydeside and finished fifth overall.
Erica Christie took part in the final event and lifted the W60 award.
Two Shettleston Harriers Open Graded meetings and the Lanarkshire Track Championships, all held at Crownpoint Stadium in Glasgow, brought the track season to an end.
The first open grade had runners compete in 800m and 3000m, while the second offered 1500 and 5000m races.
In her 5k track debut, Millie Nicholl recorded 17.24.47, beating her road pb and placing her second in the Scottish Under-20 rankings.
There was medals success in the 1500m championship for Finlay Robb, Sam McCarthy and Lewis Roddis.
Robb and McCarthy won gold and silver in the under-17 event, while u20 Roddis won the senior silver medal.
Finally, Grant Sheldon was one of four triathletes to represent Great Britain in the World Triathlon Cup at Karlovy Vary in the Czech Republic, finishing fifth overall.
