Calvin Ramsay as Liverpool fans won't have seen him before with rapid rise highlighted in rare Aberdeen snap

Top prospect Calvin Ramsay is trading the Scottish Premiership for the Champions League after his move to Liverpool was rubber stamped.

Aberdeen could land £8m in the end with their add ons for their prized academy graduate based on his Anfield development.

The 18-year-old enjoyed his breakthrough campaign in the Granite City last season, which attracted the attention of Jurgen Klopp.

Despite a tough league campaign for Jim Goodwin's side, Ramsay enjoyed an impressive personal campaign ending with the full-back earning the SFWA Young Player of the Year Award.

However, that's far from the first award Ramsay has lifted.

In fact, he has been picking up top awards at Pittodrie since being a part of the Under-12 side.

A snap has emerged on social media of the youngster picking up the John Delday Award at the end of the 2014/15 season for his outstanding performances.

He is spotted alongside Dean Campbell and Seb Ross picking up youth academy awards, with the pair also going on to earn a chance in the first-team.

Just seven years after the picture was taken to mark the standout young talents at Aberdeen, Ramsay will be playing English Premier League football with last season's Champions League finalists.

Following the bumper deal, Ramsay said: “I’m just buzzing and it’s a dream come true really to be here,

“It was a dream come true to play for Aberdeen, and now to be at one of the biggest, if not the biggest club in the world, it’s a massive achievement and I’m looking forward to trying to show the fans what I’ve got."
