Aberdeen ace Calvin Ramsay is edging closer to a move to Anfield as Liverpool table a significant deal.
The Premier League giants have reportedly offered the Dons around £3.5million for the 18-year-old with the fee likely to rise to £4m up from with the potential offer of extras - which could be worth millions more.
Ramsay is currently waiting for an agreement to be reached and to be given permission to travel south for a medical and to agree personal terms.
Liverpool sources are confident a deal can be agreed within the week.
The fee is set to help fund Jim Goodwin's Aberdeen rebuild as they prepare for the 2022/23 season following a disappointing campaign last time out.
But the 18-year-old is not the only teen to have landed a Scottish club a hefty profit.

Ryan Gauld
In the summer of 2014, 18-year-old Ryan Gauld put pen to paper on a move from Dundee United to Sporting Lisbon.
The fee was undisclosed at the time but is believed to have been in the region of £3million.
Gauld made his Scottish Premiership debut at just 16-years-old during the 2011/12 campaign, making his first start for the Tannadice outfit one season later.
The teen signed a deal at United to keep him there until the summer of 2016, but his impressive form attracted interest from other clubs both south of the border and overseas.
Sporting were the club who went on to secure the services of the young talent, as Gauld signed a six-year contract with a €60 million buy-out clause.
Danny Wilson
On 21 July 2010, Wilson joined Liverpool and signed a three-year deal for an initial transfer fee of £2 million, potentially rising to £5million based on appearances.
Wilson made his debut for the Anfield side two months later, appearing regularly for the reserve side in the early part of his first season, scoring his first goal for the second-string in October 2010 during their 3-3 draw with Blackburn Rovers are Prenton Park.
The teen made his first team debut for Kenny Dalglish's side on September 22, 2010 in their defeat to League Two side Northampton Town in the third round of the League Cup.
He went on to make his first Premier League start against West Ham United in February 2011.
During the 2011/12 campaign, Wilson wanted to leave Liverpool to go out on loan, in order to gain first team football experience.
The centre half completed loan spells at Blackpool and Bristol City before making the move back up north to join Hearts on a permanent basis in January 2013.
James Scott
Departing Motherwell, Scott signed a three-and-a-half year contract with Hull City in January 2020, with the club also having the option of extending by one year.
The deal was worth £1.58million.
The forward made his Hull debut in June 2020 against Charlton Athletic with his first goal for the club coming during a 3-3 draw with Birmingham the following week.
Scott then returning to the Premiership in 2021, agreeing a loan deal with Hibs for the 2021/22 campaign.
The forward ended his stay at Easter Road 0with a hat-trick during his side's 4-0 win over St Johnstone.
Kerr Smith
At just 17-years-old, Kerr Smith made the move from Dundee United to Aston Villa for a deal reportedly worth £864,000.
A product of the Tannadice academy, Smith made the move the Steven Gerrard's side to join the Villa academy squad.
The defender made his Scottish Premiership debut there in 2021 aged 16 after signing his first professional contract with United in December 2020.
The teen made his first starting appearance in a 3-0 defeat against Kilmarnock at Rugby Park on April 21, 2021.
The young talent attracted interest from clubs south of the border which saw him complete trial periods at Aston Villa and Manchester United.
The Birmingham club were the side to secure the services of the 17-year-old as he put pen to paper in January 2022.
Fraser Fyvie
Fraser Fyvie made the move from Aberdeen to Wigan in the summer of 2012 in a deal worth around £570,000.
The midfielder had previously refused a contract extension at the Dons towards the end of the 2011/12 season, wanting to pursue his career down in England.
With his contract due to expire midway through the following campaign, Fyvie sparked interest from Premier League club Fulham and Wigan Athletic.
Wigan manager Roberto Martínez signed the Scotsman on a three-year deal.
Fyvie made his debut as a substitute in Wigan's League Cup 4-1 victory against Nottingham Forrest.
The midfielder went on to make his full debut, again in the League Cup, in a surprise defeat to Bradford.
He failed feature for the first team in the Premier League in the following months and made the move to Yeovil Town on loan in a bid to secure regular first team football.
He was released from his contract with Wigan on February 2, 2015.
Ryan Fraser
After making a significant impression in the Aberdeen first team, 18-year-old Ryan Fraser signed a three-year contract with League One club Bournemouth on 18 January 2013 for a fee of £432,000.
Fraser made his professional debut at the Dons at just 16 in a clash with Hearts.
The winger rejected a contract extension with Aberdeen in the winter of 2012 before making the move to Bournemouth.
During his first season down south, Fraser helped Bournemouth gain promotion to the Championship.
Bournemouth were then promoted to the Premier League in 2015 with Fraser spending time on loan to Championship club Ipswich Town for the 2015/16 season.
Upon his return, Fraser scored his first Premier League goal on 4 December 2016, in a 4–3 win against Liverpool.
On 7 September 2020, Fraser made the move Newcastle United signing a five-year contract
