Calvin Bassey has thanked Rangers fans for their support and promised "see you soon" amid interest from Aston Villa.
The defender's gruelling season finally came to an end this week as he helped Nigeria to a 10-0 victory over Sao Tome and Principe.
That followed a run to the Europa League Final and a Scottish Cup triumph with his Ibrox team-mates.
Bassey 's continued rise has caught the attention of the man who brought him to Rangers, Steven Gerrard, and he's been strongly linked with a move to the Premier League.
The 22-year-old appears keen to put that to one side for now as he enjoys a well-earned rest.
But he took time to show his appreciation for the Rangers support with a message on Instagram.
Bassey wrote: "Thank God for what a season it has been for me personally and for the team. It’s had it highs and lows, we keep fighting.
"Thank you for your support and see you soon."
Bassey set tongues wagging earlier this week when a post on his Instagram story checked in at Wolves' training ground.
The update appeared to be promoting a chauffeur service and was later deleted.
