Callum Wilson has revealed he's back in training ahead of Newcastle's trip to Manchester City this weekend. The Magpies number nine has been sidelined since the 1-1 draw with Manchester United back in December but is still the Toon's top goal scorer.
Speaking on the Footballer's Football Podcast Wilson said his Instagram highlight reel that he posted earlier this week, was a 'subtle indication' that he was back fit. It remains to be seen whether Eddie Howe will throw Wilson back into the deep end.
Given his management of players so far this season, you would expect the 30-year-old to return to the bench this weekend, if he's deemed match fit. Newcastle United have two tough games against City and then Arsenal on the horizon, before finishing the campaign away at relegation battling Burnley.

Wilson said: "I am fully charged now. I think it was a little subtle indication that I'm back, without saying I'm back. It was a little reel of my goals and stuff like that.
"It was more for myself for personal use, but it was quite good and I thought I'd share it with my Instagram followers. I'm back now, training, so it's been a good week.
"It's been a long time coming but we're there. We're there!"
