Callum McGregor has addressed his "no more goals" demand to team-mates after Rangers went 3-0 up in the Premier Sports Cup.
The Celtic captain could be seen demanding his team-mates tighten up and avoid any further damage in the loss at Ibrox on Sunday.
Clips of the moment went viral after being shared on social media.
Now, McGregor has addressed the moment as he admitted it would have been a "different ballgame" had Celtic loss by four or five to their Glasgow rivals.
Explaining his instruction, which was caught on camera, McGregor said: "You don't want fours and fives for sure.
"As soon as the goal went in, then I'm saying to Cam [Cameron Carter-Vickers] and Scalesy [Liam Scales], 'Look, no more goals, we have to just tighten this up'.
"Of course, we always want to get back in the game. And we always want to be a team that, even at 3-0 down, you still want to have a chance, but you have to understand the circumstance you're in as well.
"Well beaten at 3-0 by good goals against you. But if it starts to run at fours and fives, then you're talking about a different ballgame."
