Callum Hudson-Odoi has opened up on the role Todd Boehly had when he decided to move from Chelsea to Bayer Leverkusen on a season-long loan deal.
The 21-year-old Cobham graduate made the switch from west London to west-central Germany towards the end of the summer transfer window. The Bundesliga club brought the winger in on a season-long loan deal, but there is no clause in the contract to make the move permanent.
It's something Chelsea co-owner Boehly was adamant to not include in the deal, as Hudson-Odoi has now revealed to the Daily Mail. It's the attention to detail that was perhaps missing from Roman Abramovich's tenure at the club. Boehly seems to be far more involved, which is to be expected considering he was the interim sporting director over the summer.
