Callum Hudson-Odoi has dropped a hint on his future at Chelsea. The 22-year-old winger will have just one-year remaining on his contact at Stamford Bridge once he returns from his loan at Bayer Leverkusen in the summer.
He's featured 20 times for the German outfit this term, directly contributing towards just two goals. Hudson-Odoi has shown glimpses of promise at the BayArena but he's struggled to impress on a regular basis.
Following the arrivals of Mykhailo Mudryk and Noni Madueke last month as well as Raheem Sterling in the summer, first-team opportunities could be hard to come by for the Cobham graduate next season. Not to mention further competition from Christian Pulisic, Hakim Ziyech and Joao Felix — if Chelsea make the Atletico Madrid star's tenure permanent.

With a reasonably uncertain future at Stamford Bridge, Hudson-Odoi has been thinly-linked with a move to Arsenal. Speaking to Sky Sports recently, the winger hinted at his future plans after confirming that he's not been in contact with his parent club while on loan at Leverkusen.
"I have not spoken to them much recently at all," he said. "I am not there so seeing all these players going, there is nothing I can say or do.
"At the end of the day, I am focused on the club here and trying to help as much as possible here. Whatever happens in the future, I do not know.
"All I can do is focus on what happens here," Hudson-Odoi added. "At the end of the day, you have got to keep positive.
"Always smiling regardless. No matter if things are going good or bad, you cannot stress about things. Also, when you are smiling you feel confident and good on the ball and off the pitch as well."
Hudson-Odoi spoke to the Daily Mail in the summer where he opened up on a conversation he had with Todd Boehly. He said: "When a club is trying to get a player [on loan], they always want that option to buy at the end of the season.
"Todd was saying: 'Listen, we want you back here — you're still on the radar of being wanted by the club.' The way he's trying to set it up, there are a lot of young players he's trying to buy for the next few years. It shows he wants to integrate the players into the team and help them develop."
