Callum Hudson-Odoi breaks silence on Chelsea transfer verdict after spotted in Germany amid exit

Callum Hudson-Odoi has been spotted in Germany ahead of a potential move to the Bundesliga this summer. The Chelsea winger has been heavily linked with an exit from Stamford Bridge having fallen out of favour under Thomas Tuchel.

football.london understands that Hudson-Odoi is looking to land a move away from the Blues before the transfer window slams shut in a few days. It's said that there's plenty of interest in the 21-year-old, with attention from both the Premier League and the Bundesliga.

Borussia Dortmund are monitoring the winger's situation, though it looks as if Bayer Leverkusen could be the side to land Hudson-Odoi's signature. On Monday evening, August 29, he was spotted in Leverkusen ahead of a potential move to the club - it's thought that the Cobham graduate was in Germany ahead of a medical.

Upon being spotted, Hudson-Odoi said: "I am very happy to be here. I hope we can win a trophy and go far in the Champions League."

The motive for the Chelsea youngster's attendance in Leverkusen has since been confirmed by Fabrizio Romano. The transfer expert claims that Hudson-Odoi has completed his medical to become a Bayer Leverkusen player and he's now set to sign the paperwork.

Romano clarifies that he's joining the German side on a season-long loan with no option to buy clause. With an exit on the cards for Hudson-Odoi, Tuchel has admitted to having conversations with the likes of the winger and others considering a future away from Chelsea.

He said: "We do, but it's maybe human when there is a transfer window. They are not only with us at Cobham. When they leave the building, they have their phone on, and they will get calls, think about their future, their next step, and there is a World Cup coming that everyone talks and thinks about.

"At the moment, I accept it's like this. But from September 1, there are no more excuses and no more distractions. I am very, very happy when the transfer window is over because then we have different leverage to push players, and then the commitment has to be 100%, we will not accept 99%. The reality is that sometimes, in the last days of the window, you have to simply accept it no matter what you wish for. It's the reality."
