Calls for Macklemore to be dropped from Sheeran tour over ‘Free Palestine’ chant

The Israeli-American Council has launched a petition demanding Ed Sheeran remove rapper Macklemore as the support act on his US tour.
The call follows Macklemore chanting "Free Palestine" and performing his Gaza protest song "Hind's Hall" at New Jersey's MetLife Stadium.
The advocacy group accused the musician of using a global concert platform to promote a "one-sided political agenda".
Macklemore told the audience that sharing his message of peace and solidarity with Palestine was a primary motivation for joining the tour.
The rapper is currently scheduled to appear as the opening act for eight further dates on Sheeran's tour through to November.
