Helen George has done little to quash Call The Midwife fans' fears that something bad will happen in the series 12 finale, by confirming that there is a 'tragedy' in the highly anticipated episode.
One of the longest running and most watched dramas on TV, Call The Midwife has been another huge hit for the BBC, since returning in January and taking on the latest run of Vera in a ratings battle. While the new episodes of Call The Midwife have given us plenty of heart warming moments, there have also been some hard-hitting scenes too, including a racism storyline, the death of Matthew's dad and a teenage pregnancy plot, in which Helen's character, Trixie Franklin, played a central role.
Given that the penultimate episode of Call The Midwife's new series aired on Sunday, February 12, fans were expecting to see the last part seven days later. However, the BBC had other ideas and postponed the series finale in order to show this year's BAFTA Film Awards in its place.

The Call The Midwife series finale will now air on Sunday, February 26 and, having already hinted that things won't run smoothly for Trixie and Matthew in the lead up to their wedding, Helen has now revealed that tragedy lies ahead, amid viewer concern for much loved character Sister Monica Joan, whose health took a turn for the worse last week.
Speaking to Radio Times, Helen explained that there were 'teething problems' for the wedding, before adding: "There's a lot of calamity and fun to be had with it but of course it's Call the Midwife, so there's a flip side.
"There's a downside and there's a tragedy, but there's also a very beautiful payoff and I hope people will really enjoy it, because we did."
After a teaser for the finale was posted on Call The Midwife's Twitter account on Monday, one fan responded: "Nothing better happen to Sister Monica Joan," with a second tweeting: "I need to know that Sister Monica Joan is OK!!"
