'Call of Duty: Black Ops 7' Unveils Nicolas Cage As a Playable Operator In Season 4 Reloaded

"Call of Duty: Black Ops 7" unveiled its next update coming to the game, with Season 4 Reloaded set to deliver the "Summer of Action" theme, as well as the one and only Nicolas Cage.

Cage will be a playable Operator skin in the game, and this gives both old heads and new-gen people who play "Call of Duty" a chance to step into the shoes of one of the most influential action film actors in Hollywood.

'Call of Duty: Black Ops 7' Is Bringing Nick Cage As an Operator

Treyarch and Activision Blizzard revealed Season 4 Reloaded, spanning Multiplayer, Zombies, Endgame, and "Call of Duty: Warzone," all themed around what the studio is calling the "Summer of Action."

Cage will be playable across all four modes once Season 4 Reloaded goes live, joining the new and returning Multiplayer maps and modes arriving the same day. Players will be able to unlock the actor through a new Event Pass, which also includes a free track and a premium track.

The premium side carries the Nicolas Cage Operator and Operator Skin, alongside a handful of weapon blueprints, emotes, and cosmetic rewards tied into the summer theme.

'Black Ops 7 Season 4 Reloaded Summer of Action'

According to ComicBook Gaming, Activision is framing Cage's arrival as the face of the "Summer of Action," a seasonal push meant to carry "Black Ops 7" through the warmer months with fresh content across every mode.

Outside of the Cage-focused Event Pass, there is also a separate "Summer of Action" event built around daily login rewards, handing out tier skips, double XP tokens, and a new assault rifle blueprint just for checking in.

The decision to lean on Cage's recognizable persona fits a pattern "Call of Duty" has followed before, where a famous face becomes the anchor for marketing and unlockable content tied to a major content drop. Previous real-world personalities who have collaborated with the game include Snoop Dogg, Seth Rogen, Nicki Minaj, and more.

What to Expect From 'Black Ops 7' Season 4 Reloaded

Beyond the new Operator, Season 4 Reloaded brings a fairly packed list of additions. Multiplayer gets two new maps, "Zenith" and a remastered version of "Launch" from the original "Call of Duty: Black Ops," along with returning modes Team Blueprint Sharpshooter and Knife Fight.

Black Ops Classic also becomes a permanent fixture, pulling in four additional legacy maps.

Zombies fans get a new round-based map called Kowakujō, set in a lava-covered feudal Japanese castle, introducing new enemies like the Oni and fire-infused Hellhounds, plus a mysterious new wonder weapon. Endgame is rolling out Act IV, Operation King Killer, alongside a new Guardian skill track and a Psych Grenade ability.

Meanwhile, "Call of Duty: Warzone" sees Rebirth Island shift into a sunnier seasonal look, the return of the Champion's Quest for top-tier squads, and new limited-time modes including Squad Gun Game.

Two new weapons also join the mix across all modes: the AN-94 assault rifle and the dual-wield Executioner's Duet melee weapon, both tied to the new Event Pass.

Activision says the Season 4 Reloaded free trial will let players test out Multiplayer and Zombies at no cost, giving newcomers a chance to try the new content before deciding whether to pick up "Black Ops 7" for good.
