Despite ongoing claims that Call of Duty is dead, and while Black Ops 7 may have underperformed, it is still dominating the charts.
According to Circana, which tracks U.S. sales across physical and digital, the latest data shows just how strong Black Ops 7 remains. As well as this, we find out that Helldivers 2 has performed best on Xbox over both PlayStation and PC.
Let’s break down the numbers and see how it compares, along with other Xbox titles.
Breaking down the latest circana sales data

Now, I have previously been critical of Black Ops 7. Even after playing it myself and not enjoying it, I have to admit I am impressed by how well it is performing, especially given the online discourse and how much Battlefield 6 has been dominating conversation.
Black Ops 7 comes in at number 3 for best-selling games in the U.S. for February 2026 across Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. That said, it is down from the number 1 spot it held in January, overtaken by Resident Evil: Requiem.

Minecraft holds steady in its January position, continuing its consistent performance. One of the surprises, at least to me, however, is Diablo 2: Resurrected, which jumps from 195th all the way up to number 13, likely helped by its latest update and release on Steam.
Looking at Xbox titles, Forza Horizon 5 appears at number 16, with no other Xbox games making the Top 20 across all platforms.
Perhaps more interestingly, Helldivers 2 sold the most on Xbox during February, although sales across platforms were noted to be relatively close.
What do you make of Black Ops 7 and Helldivers 2 performance?
I will say I am quite surprised to see that Black Ops 7 is performing as it is, however, I most surprised to learn that Helldivers 2 performed best on Xbox in the U.S. for the month of February at least.
