Call for urgent action as nearly 5,000 renters receive termination notice despite eviction ban

Nearly 5,000 renters received notice that their lease was being terminated in the first three months of this year.

This is despite a ban on evictions being in place until March 31.

New figures published by the Residential Tenancies Board (RTB) show that 4,753 notices of termination were issued in the first quarter of 2023.
