An IT company that supports SMEs with bespoke business software has triumphed at the UK Final of the Federation of Small Businesses’ (FSB) Celebrating Small Business Awards 2023. Calipro Software, based in Leicester, picked up the Service Excellence Award at the annual event, hosted by TV presenters Clare Balding and JJ Chalmers, having previously won the East Midlands regional award.
The business, launched in 2015, provides software that helps firms get the best out of their IT systems. Service Excellence was the mostly hotly contested category across the UK, and the award recognised Calipro’s commitment to providing personalised, tailored support to each of its customers.
FSB national chair Martin McTague said: “Small businesses pride themselves in offering first-rate, personal customer service, and Calipro has demonstrated that in bundles, therefore I am delighted to see them recognised with this national award.
“The last couple of years have been tough for small firms and the self-employed, but through our Celebrating Small Business Awards we have seen so many amazing examples of innovation, hard work and ingenuity even against a difficult backdrop.
“It shows how small businesses really are at the heart of the economy and communities.”
Calipro Software managing director Owen Jones said: “We’re passionate about technology and relish the challenge of finding digital solutions to problems, making things easier for people and businesses.
“Our bespoke calibration service management solutions are tailored to each customer’s unique requirements and continually adapted as those requirements change over time, helping them to amplify their USPs and deliver a better service to their customers.
“Providing an excellent service is at the core of our offer to customers so winning a high-profile award like this is extremely rewarding and honours our customer first approach to business.”
More than 3,000 small businesses from across the UK entered FSB’s Celebrating Small Business Awards 2023. The UK final was held in Birmingham and followed area finals in each English region and devolved nation.
