A 19-year-old from California is under arrest for allegedly pretending to be an Uber driver and raping a 15-year-old girl whose mother ordered the service to drive her to school.

The 19-year old allegedly admitted to his victim that he was driving under a family members account, KTLA reported. After picking the teen girl up on Oct. 23, he drove her to her high school school before assaulting her in the backseat of the vehicle.

"Something really bad happened to me in the Uber car," the girl told her sister in a phone call following the assault.

"She explained this individual locked her in the car, she couldn't open the doors. He was too heavy, she couldn't push him away," her mother told KTLA.

"I had the license plate. I had the color of the car," the girl's mother continued. "I had a picture of him and I asked my daughter, 'Is this the person?' My daughter said, 'No, mom. That's not the person,' He stated he was using his brother's account, and she didn't know his name."

Los Angeles School Police Department investigators managed to locate the suspect at, which point he admitted to his involvement in the incident but claimed the sexual relations were consensual. The suspect, who has not yet been identified by authorities, was released on bail after pleading not guilty.

"The driver's behavior is appalling and has no place on the Uber platform," an Uber spokesperson told KTLA. "We take reports of this nature very seriously, and we removed the driver's access to the platform as soon as we were made aware. We have a dedicated team that has been assisting law enforcement with their investigation."
