It was one of the most talked about storylines heading into Week 5 as the Chicago Bears and rookie quarterback Caleb Williams took on the team that traded away the opportunity to draft him in the Carolina Panthers. If that wasn’t salt in the wound enough, Williams used Carolina’s former top weapon in D.J. Moore against them to great effect in a blowout win.
What makes this Caleb Williams TD even better is that he progresses on it.
this is a screen block & go concept at the top of the screen meant to pop Keenan Allen open.

It was a bloodbath for Williams, who threw it all over the field all day long against a helpless Panthers defense. Williams finished the day with 20 completions on 29 attempts, for 304 passing yards, and a pair of touchdowns through the air. Both of those touchdowns just so happen to land in the arms of former number one receiver for the Panthers, D.J. Moore, who made his stamp on the game to prove a much receiver point with his new quarterback.
This marks the second straight win for Chicago and their third on the season. This offense looks ever renewed behind a maturing rookie quarterback, and with a defense that is one of the best in the league to this point, this Bears team has their sights on a potential playoff birth with their new franchise quarterback leading the way.
