And when asked about her achievement, Clark humbly acknowledged her teammates, giving credit where it was due.

Even Loyola's coach, Allison Guth, couldn't help but marvel at Clark's abilities. She confessed that defending against her was no easy task, as Clark's range seemed to know no bounds. Some teams have tried everything from double-teaming her to implementing special defensive tactics, but Clark always finds a way to shine. Guth opted for a pragmatic approach, trying to slow down Iowa with pressure. However, once the Hawkeyes found their rhythm, it caused havoc on the court.

The game had its fair share of ups and downs for Iowa. They experienced a slow start, allowing Loyola to snatch an early lead. But just when things seemed uncertain, Iowa rallied and closed the first half with an impressive run. It was a true display of resilience and determination, leading them to a 51-46 lead heading into halftime.

In the second half, Iowa completely took control. With their defense locked in and their zone strategy proving effective, the Hawkeyes held Loyola to just five field goals in the third quarter. The game swiftly shifted in Iowa's favor as they embarked on an explosive 19-3 run, leaving Loyola scrambling to keep up. The Hawkeyes' solid defense and strategic adjustments sealed the deal.

Of course, credit must be given to Loyola, who put up a commendable fight. They entered the game on a four-game winning streak, and in the first half, they showed Iowa that they were not to be underestimated. The shots were falling, momentum was on their side, but unfortunately, they couldn't maintain the same energy in the second half. Loyola's shooting percentage dropped significantly, and it ultimately cost them the game.

As for Iowa, they continued their dominance, securing their ninth consecutive victory. However, they were missing Gabbie Marshall, their best defender, who was unable to play due to illness. Her absence was felt in the first half as Loyola capitalized on the gaps in Iowa's defense. Nonetheless, Iowa remains a work in progress, always striving to improve and reach new heights.

Looking ahead, Loyola will take on St. Bonaventure in their next matchup, seeking to bounce back from this loss. Meanwhile, Iowa will dive back into Big Ten play, ready to face Minnesota and further solidify their position as a force to be reckoned with.

So, this was a night filled with rip-roaring basketball action, where Caitlin Clark's triple-double stole the spotlight. It was a game that exemplified the beauty, intensity, and unpredictability of college basketball. And who knows what other remarkable moments lie ahead as the season unfolds? Stay tuned, folks, because this is just the beginning!
