Caitlin Clark Had Wholesome Exchange With French Reporter About Her Global Impact

Caitlin Clark is a worldwide phenomenon.

If she didn’t know it before Friday, the Iowa Hawkeyes star learned just that during media availability at the Big Ten tournament.

A reporter from France made the trip to Minneapolis to cover Clark and the Hawkeyes, and asked her if she realized the impact she’s making while empowering young women across the globe.

Clark broke into a big smile.

“I’ve never been to France but I would love to go,” she said. “I think it’s really cool. Even when we went on our foreign trip, there were a lot of people that would show up to our games and find out where we were playing—whether it was Italy or Croatia.

“Obviously, it’s hard for me to wrap my head around having an impact globally, and obviously that’s my goal and that’s my dream. That’s always what I want to do.”

Behind Clark’s 24 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists, the Hawkeyes defeated Penn State 95–62 on Friday in the Big Ten quarterfinals.

Iowa returns to the court at 4:30 p.m. ET Saturday to battle Michigan in the conference semifinals. The winner advances to the Big Ten championship on Sunday.
