Indiana Fever rookie guard Caitlin Clark hit the best shot of her WNBA career so far on Monday night at home. She also picked up her first technical foul.
While expressing her distaste with a foul called on the Fever, Clark let an expletive drop within earshot of a referee. That was enough for her to get the very first technical foul of her professional career.
Clark will have to be careful about earning costly technical fouls in the WNBA in close games like the one Indiana found itself in against the Connecticut Sun. Those two free throws for the Sun weren’t ideal.
However, for your first technical foul, this is actually pretty funny. You win some, you lose some when it comes to fouls.
Some NSFW language to follow.
