Caitlin Clark knows how the smallest of gestures can make the biggest of impacts.
The Indiana Fever star put up a stellar 29-point performance against Phoenix in her first game after the Olympic break. And as Indiana makes a push for a playoff spot — largely fueled by Clark’s strong play as of late — the Fever rookie’s popularity continues to grow.
Ahead of the Fever’s game against the Storm on Sunday, Clark was asked about how important signing autographs for young fans has been to her. And her answer did not disappoint.
Clark recalled how excited a fan was just to meet her mom at the Kansas City airport, and she made sure to meet the fan after the game.
Caitlin Clark asked about what signing autographs means to her. Told the story about how her mom met one young girl in the KC Airport going to her first Fever game. Her mom gave one of her trading cards and she began crying. Clark saw the fan in the tunnel after the last game. pic.twitter.com/O28LQYULI8

Clark said:
“It puts into perspective how special these moments are people — whether they meet you or not. Getting to enjoy this environment and this experience of the game it what really makes lifelong memories for them.”
Well said, Caitlin.
