Caitlin Clark received an autographed Mia Hamm jersey and could not contain her happiness in a wholesome moment you need to see.
Growing up, lots of people have athletes they look up to. It could be Michael Jordan, Michael Phelps, Serena Williams, LeBron James, Tom Brady, or, in Clark’s case, soccer legend Mia Hamm.
Hamm is in the National Soccer Hall of Fame because of her dominant play, which earned her two World Cup titles and two Olympic gold medals. It’s unsurprising that Clark, who dominates on the basketball court, admired someone of Hamm’s caliber.
But she could not hold back her childlike joy when she received a surprise gift, an autographed Hamm jersey.

Debbie Antonelli, a men’s and women’s college basketball analyst for ESPN and the ACC Network, delivered the special gift to Clark.
Upon opening the package, Clark immediately realizes whose jersey it is and lets out a stunned “WHAT?” to the camera, unable to wrap her mind around what is happening.
As people around her also couldn’t believe the moment, Clark reveals that Hamm was her idol growing up. The best part of the clip is perhaps Clark reading the personalized message Hamm left about how she couldn’t wait to see her change the world.
“I’m framing that,” Clark immediately says. “That’s so sick. No way.”
You love to see it.
