Caged killer Michael Leonard - who burned woman alive - is treated in Cork hospital

This callous murderer has been taken from his prison cell to a hospital bed – just weeks after being caged for life.

The Irish Mirror has confirmed that Michael Leonard – jailed just before Christmas for setting fire to a woman he had become obsessed with – was being treated at Mercy University Hospital in Cork City.

It’s understood Leonard, 63, was moved to the hospital from Cork Prison on Sunday evening – eight weeks into his life sentence for the gruesome murder of Mary O’Keeffe in February 2021.
