Chocolate lovers are in for a real treat this month, as Cadbury's has just announced it will be launching two new bars of chocolate with a little bit of a twist. The iconic UK confectionary brand will be launching a couple of limited-edition 'mystery bars', with the flavours being kept top secret from the public.
And, if you think your taste buds are up for a challenge, then Cadbury's have rolled out a nationwide competition for fans to guess the secret flavoured filling. Taste bud detectives who manage to guess the correct flavour can then be in with the chance of winning a £5,000 mystery prize.
The top secret mystery bars will start rolling out in stores as individual and sharing sizes from mid-July until October 2022 whilst stocks last, reports The Mirror.
Those who are keen to get involved with the delicious challenge are being asked to keep an eye on Cadbury's social media channels throughout August and September for clues, with the answer being revealed in October.
Brand Manager for Cadbury Dairy Milk Pippa Rodgers has given the following statement: “We are incredibly excited to launch this brand new competition from Cadbury Dairy Milk and challenge the nation to solve the flavours of Cadbury Mystery Bars.
"We can’t wait to see the public’s reactions and creative guesses as friends and family come together to solve the mystery flavours!”
You can grab yourself a bar from major retailers, with individual bars selling for 69p and sharing blocks selling for £1.50.
To be in with a shot, members of the public can buy one of the Cadbury Mystery Bars, or both, submitting their answers on mysterybars.cadbury.co.uk to submit their guesses.
One winner per bar will be announced and will be chosen at random from correct guesses.
