Cadbury has warned customers of a potential scam aimed at accessing information. It comes after the company was alerted to posts on social media.
Consumers have reported getting links on WhatsApp and social media promising them a free Easter chocolate basket. However Cadbury has warned people not to open the link or share it with others.
In a statement on their official social media pages on Cadbury UK said they were working to "resolve" the issue. They also urged customers not to interact with the post.

Their statement read: "We've been made aware of circulating posts on social media claiming to offer consumers a free Easter chocolate basket. We can confirm that this has not been generated by us and would urge consumers not to interact or share personal information through the post."
Cadbury added that customer security was their priority and they were on the case. They continued: "Customer security is our priority and we’re working with the relevant organisations to ensure this is resolved."
The post was flooded with comments from people who had received the message. One wrote: "Thanks. I've been sent it many times but just deleted it." Another added: "I've had it off of so many people, driving me mad! Haven't clicked the link thank God." And a third said: "I have seen so many of those posts."
