Cadbury fans go wild for return of nostalgic discontinued 90s chocolate

Cadbury's has sent shoppers who grew up in the 90s on a trip down memory lane by bringing back a popular chocolate treat that they grew up with.

The chocolate's return was posted to social media after a shopper spotted that the iconic confectionary brand was reselling the it after decades of being off the shelves.

The return of Christmas Cadbury Puds, which was discontinued in the early 00s, was confirmed by NewFoodsUK Facebook page in a recent post, reports The Liverpool Echo.

And despite it still being a little early for the mention of Christmas, it looks like shoppers are getting seriously nostalgic over the retro festive treat.

The 90s snack features a milk chocolate shell filled with hazelnut truffle and was always a hit during the festive season before being discontinued back in 2003.

A post announcing the chocolate's return was captioned: "Cadbury Puds are back!! We've noticed these have appeared online at Cadbury Gifts Direct and we're so glad they're making a comeback! We absolutely loved these last year!"

Chocolate lovers were quick to flock to the post with many of them praising the return of the iconic Christmas chocolate that was their "fave thing from the 90s."

"My fave thing from the 90s", exclaimed one excited shopper.

"Yaaay, they're bringing them back", raved a second. "I love these", praised a third.

A fourth shopper said they were the "best chocolate around". A fifth commented: ""I LOVED THESE".

While a sixth added: "I'm in heaven they are just the best".

It comes just after shoppers spotted Cadbury's Astros in B&M stores for the first time in years after the iconic sweet was discontinued after being launched in 1997.

Cadbury Puds are priced at 65p and are available via the Cadbury Gifts Direct website.
