Byron Hayward has walked away from his role as head coach of Wales U20s following a poor Six Nations campaign and is to be replaced by former Grand Slam wing Mark Jones.
Hayward, who was Wales' senior defence coach under Wayne Pivac, has tendered his resignation after the young Dragons got whitewashed in the recent U20s Six Nations.
Former Scarlets and Wales speedster Jones will now take the helm on an interim basis leading the squad into the World Rugby U20 Championship which takes place in South Africa next month. He won the Grand Slam with Wales under Warren Gatland in 2008.
