A private ambulance and medical training company has bought a rival out of administration.
Tamworth-based Elite Emergency Medical Services has acquired Polaris Medical Services with all 140 employees transferring over as part of the sale.
Polaris Medical Services, which was headquartered in Slough, was also a private ambulance operator, serving NHS trusts across the East Midlands and southern England. It also provided ambulances for events such as Premier League football matches.
Elite Emergency Medical Services will continue to operate its bases Maidenhead, Fareham, Heckington, Pinewood, Basingstoke and Buckingham.
Financial services firm Kroll carried out the sale after being appointed administrator of Polaris Medical Services in April.
Steve Muncaster, a partner and joint administrator, said: "We are pleased to have facilitated the successful sale of a key service provider to communities across the UK, particularly without job losses.
"Polaris Medical Services has provided private ambulance services to several areas and sporting events, like Premier League football matches.
"The sale has secured the continued service which will now be provided under Elite Emergency Medical Services."
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
