Buy A Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing Before It's Too Late

The Breakdown:

  • Cadillac will reportedly stop accepting orders for the CT4 the week of April 20.
  • This includes the entire model line, including the CT4-V Blackwing.
  • Production for the sedan ends in June.

It's nearly the end for the Cadillac CT4. Back in October, the automaker confirmed production will wrap in June, but before that, Cadillac must close the order book. This will reportedly happen in just a couple of weeks.

According to a GM Authority report, Cadillac will stop taking orders for the entire CT4, from the entry-level trim to the Blackwing, the week of April 20. Motor1 has reached out to Cadillac to confirm the report, and we will update this story if we hear back.

The CT4 is Cadillac’s entry-level model and the only one priced under $40,000. The standard car has a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, while the CT4-V Blackwing packs a 427-hp twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter V6, and it is available with a six-speed manual transmission.

Cadillac will also end production of the current CT5, but the automaker confirmed it will develop a next-generation model with a gasoline engine. It’s unclear when Cadillac will close the order books for this model.

The CT4 is Cadillac’s worst-selling model. The brand sold just 5,616 CT4s in 2025—down 9.4 percent—compared to 16,561 CT5s. Sales for the sedan so far this year are up 27.4 through the first three months of the year, with 1,547 sold. CT5 sales are down 13.3 percent.

Motor1’s Take: If you have ever wanted a CT4-V Blackwing, this is your last chance to order. Once the order books close, you will have to buy whatever is left on the dealer’s lot. Thankfully, if you want a new Cadillac sedan, a new CT5 is coming soon.
