Butchers scoop top award

West Lothian butchers have scooped top awards in a Scotland-wide competition.

Boghall Butchers on Margaret Avenue in Bathgate have won an award for their ‘Traditional Sliced Beef Sausage’ at the Scottish Craft Butchers Award.

The sausages were submitted for grilling by the experts at an evaluation held at Forth Valley College in November - with results being announced on Monday (January 17).
