Paul Merson has warned Liverpool forward Luis Diaz that he will find it harder this season.
Diaz joined the Reds at the end of January and settled into life at Anfield immediately following his switch from Porto. However, Merson believes the Colombian will have it more difficult in the forthcoming campaign.
The Sky Sports pundit made the comments about Diaz when discussing Liverpool's chances of winning the Champions League. The Reds lost last season's final 1-0 to Real Madrid in Paris.

Merson believes they are the second favourites this time around, behind Manchester City, but ahead of Chelsea, Barcelona and Bayern Munich. But he reckons one of Jurgen Klopp's star men will be targeted by opposition teams as a danger.
Merson wrote in SportsKeeda : “Unlike last season, Luis Diaz is on the radar this time around. When he first joined, team talks from opposition managers wouldn’t have really been about him, but now he’s quickly made the left wing his own and will find it harder to make an impact this season.
“He’s been a fantastic addition for Liverpool and should continue from where he left off last season.”
The Reds will be hoping DIaz, who scored six goals and provided four assists in the second half of the 2021-22 campaign, will certainly do that. And with a full pre-season under his belt, he should only improve as he learns Klopp's system more and gels with his team-mates.
