A busy stretch of the A82 in Dumbarton will close for overnight resurfacing works in March.
Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland as part of the management for the South-West Trunk Road Unit, are undertaking essential carriageway patching on the A82 southbound in Dumbarton between Barloan Toll Roundabout and Garshake Road.
Work will take place overnight on Wednesday March 8 and Thursday March 9, between the hours of 8pm and 6am, each night.
Amey say that the scheme will benefit around 8,100 vehicles using this route each day, by improving the condition of the carriageway and reducing the need for more extensive maintenance in the future.
The A82 southbound will be closed between Barloan Roundabout and Garshake Road and a signed diversion will be in operation during the works.
Traffic will exit the A82 at Barloan Roundabout via the third exit to join the B830. From here, traffic will turn left onto Bonhill Road and will take a further left turn onto Round Riding Road. Traffic will proceed on this route and will turn right to rejoin the A82 southbound carriageway.
Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout the works.
A spokeswoman for Amey said: "We thank road users for their patience and co-operation while this essential work takes place.
Our operatives will follow strict physical distancing and hygiene protocols throughout the programme, in line with the Scottish Government’s COVID-19 guidance.
"All schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable."
