Motorists have been warned to expect delays after a car burst into flames during a two vehicle crash in Fife. Emergency services were called to the scene on the A91 between Dairsie and Cupar at around 8.05am on Sunday October 2.
Police and fire crews remain at the crash site with the road closed to allow for an investigation and recovery of the vehicles.
It is not currently known whether anyone has been injured, however Traffic Scotland is warning motorists to plan ahead of any journeys - particularly those travelling to the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in St Andrews.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service told the Daily Record that they currently have two appliances in attendance.
A statement from Police Scotland added: “Around 08.05am on Sunday, 2 October, 2022, officers were called to a report of a two vehicle crash, with one on fire, on Main Street, Dairsie.
“The vehicle fire was put out. Emergency services attended and officers are assisting with traffic management.”
And Traffic Scotland tweeted: “Due to a traffic incident the A91 is restricted in both directions between Cupar and Dairsie. Expect delays. Plan ahead.”
