One person was taken to hospital after a crash led to the closure of a busy Liverpool road.
Islington was blocked by police after a collision involving a Range Rover and a Mercedes.
The incident led to significant traffic disruption in the area.
Emergency services were called to the scene, near the Shaw Street junction, just before 5pm.
Merseyside Police and the North West Ambulance Service both had staff in attendance as the road was closed for the vehicles to be removed.
Images from the scene showed queuing traffic and the Range Rover being placed onto the back of a recovery truck.
The road has since reopened and one person is understood to have attended hospital with what are believed to be minor injuries.
