Busy Phillipps has revealed she and her husband Marc Silverstein have split after 14 years of marriage.
The 42-year-old actress has two children with Marc and said that it's 'been a really long time' since they separated.
Speaking on her Busy Phillipps Is Doing Her Best Is Doing Her Best podcast, the Dawsons Creek star said: "It's been a really long time that Marc and I have been separated and our kids know, our families know, our friends know."
The two first split in February 2021 and had spent time thinking of how to publicly share the news.
"Marc and I talked about it, and when we first separated, we couldn’t even think about putting one of those statements out — it made us sick, both of us, truly ill. It's a journey," Busy explained.
"The surest way that Marc and I have been able to ensure the privacy of our kids that we love so f—ing much was by not involving the public."
Busy told listeners the two still have love and respect for one another.
"Well we love each other — very much!" she said.
"And we have these beautiful kids together. And there are a lot of things that really work about our relationship."
The former couple married in 2007 and welcomed Birdie a year later. Their second child, Cricket, was welcomed into the world in 2013.
Busy previously discussed her marriage with Harper's Bazaar and said that there was a time she almost divorced him.
The actress clarified that it was due to an issue with their parenting duties.

She said: "Marc was like, 'I’ll do anything.' And I was like, 'Okay, then do everything. Because I have done it all, all by myself, and I’m done, dude'.
"I was fully out the door, I wasn’t expecting anything from him, but what we ended up doing was creating our own system."
In her book, This Will Only Hurt A Little, she also confessed that the two almost split after she had an 'emotional affair' with another dad.
Their marriage hit a rough patch when their first child was born which resulted in her seeking support from another person.
"Honestly, I had a crush on him. I like him. Maybe I even loved him? He clearly liked me too," she admitted in 2018.
Pal Michelle Williams was the one who told her to consider working on their marriage.
