Busy Lanarkshire pizza spot bewildered after thieves swipe letters from sign during night

A pizza takeaway in Lanarkshire has appealed for the return of part of their sign went missing overnight.

The bizarre incident took place over the weekend at Boss Pizza, located on Union Street in Larkhall.

Four large letters were unscrewed from the PIZZA sign above the entrance at some point during the night between between Saturday and Sunday, Lanarkshire Live reports.

The random theft has left bosses at the takeaway - which has only been opened for a month - asking why anyone would do such a thing.

Store Supervisor Brandon Donnelly said: "We noticed the letters had been taken off at the weekend and the screws were all left lying on the ground. It's so disappointing and a bit of a headache for us now.

"It leaves wiring exposed to the rain now and is a total inconvenience for us. We have been really busy and popular here in Larkhall since we opened up last month and just don't understand why anyone would do this.

"We really hope someone has seen something and would get in touch with ourselves on 01698 889940 with any details they have on this."

Boss Pizza, which also operates a premises in Hamilton, recently created 18 new jobs in the town, and are looking to add a further six.

The paper previously reported how Boss Pizza announced plans to create 300 jobs as it aims to open up branches across the UK.
