Busy Edinburgh cafe popular with tourists in plush neighbourhood hits the market

An Edinburgh eatery nestled in a plush neighbourhood has hit the market.

Dean Village is a quaint area of Edinburgh that can feel like you're out of the city and locals and visitors can enjoy an abundance of independent shops, bars and cafes.

One cafe has now hit the market after it closed its doors. According to their opening times on Google, The Dean Bridge Deli is 'temporarily closed', though it's been over a year since they posted to social media.

Offering a recently refurbished interior and plumbing, the premises is in walk-in condition. According to the advert on Right Biz, it also has 'a spacious front shop and large kitchen this unit is suitable for a wide range of sit-in, takeaway and delivery businesses.'

The ground floor is made up of a bright spacious front serving and seating area with large picture windows that look out onto the street. Towards the back of the building is a large kitchen which would 'support a substantial outside catering offering'. In the basement there is an office space, prep and storage together with a toilet.

The new owners can open the sandwich show from 8am to 3pm Monday to Friday but there is potential to increase sales through weekend and/or evening opening.

The advert also adds: "This is a rare opportunity to acquire a beautifully presented and spacious sandwich bar in the affluent Dean Bridge area of Edinburgh city centre.

"One of the prime high footfall areas of Edinburgh it benefits from passing tourist trade from tours of Dean Village, workers from the local high end offices and surrounding retail businesses and shoppers from Princes Street as well as passing trade from its main road location.

"Busy all year round but especially during the summer and Festival months with venues nearby."
