An innocent man has spoken out about his years-long nightmare ordeal after trolls falsely accused him of being a paedophile. Paul Ponting says the torrent of online abuse has been 'devastating', leaving him with poor mental health and at one point, suicidal.
It began when a disgruntled former employee began spreading false and malicious rumours about the businessman online. In the wake of these rumours, a stranger set up a website making accusations about 52-year-old Paul.
The site falsely accused him of being a paedophile and made 'sick and sinister' comments about Paul's family members and compared his wife to serial killer Rose West.
