China to prioritize emerging industries
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced that during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, China will accelerate the development of emerging pillar industries, including integrated circuits, aerospace, biomedicine, the low-altitude economy, novel energy storage and smart robots.
The ministry also aims to promote future industries such as quantum technology, biomanufacturing, hydrogen and nuclear fusion energy, brain-computer interfaces, embodied AI and 6G as new drivers of economic growth.
Anthropic targets record IPO
AI startup Anthropic reportedly told investors that its total addressable market exceeds $30 trillion, higher than the $28.5 trillion disclosed by SpaceX during its listing.
According to The Wall Street Journal, Anthropic said it could go public as early as October, targeting a valuation of $2 trillion to $3 trillion. If realized, the listing would surpass SpaceX’s $1.77 trillion record, becoming the largest IPO in global commercial history.
