Phase 3 of BusConnects is launching on May 29 and will see the introduction of two Orbital bus routes in north Dublin.
The N4 and the N6 were originally expected to begin in January but were delayed due to driver shortages.
The N4 will be operated by Dublin Bus while the N6 is a Go-Ahead Ireland route.

The routes are designed to link suburbs together without having to travel through the city centre.

What areas will the routes serve?
The N4 will travel from Spencer Dock Luas stop to Blanchardstown Shopping Centre and will serve Killester, Whitehall, DCU, Finglas and Connolly Hospital.
The N6 will go from Kilbarrack to Finglas Village, and will serve Coolock, Beaumont, Ballymun.
How often will the routes run?
The routes will run in north Dublin with a Monday-Saturday frequency of every 10 minutes.
On Sundays, they will be every 15 minutes during the day and every 20 minutes in the evening.
What bus routes are being discontinued?
The N4 and N6 will replace the 17a, which ran from Blanchardstown to Howth Junction, and the 31d, which went from Baldoyle to DCU.
When will other phases of the BusConnects plan launch?
Phase 4 and 5 of the BusConnects plan, which include the G-Spine and Western Orbitals, are expected to launch later in 2022.
The other phases will be implemented in the coming years.
Changing buses
With the TFI 90 Minute Fare using your TFI Leap Card, you can travel between Blanchardstown and Ballymun, Santry, Beaumont, Coolock or Howth Junction at no additional cost by transferring between the N4 and N6 at Finglas.
